Waterfox 12 is now available from the download page.

What's New in Firefox 12?

  • Windows: Firefox is now easier to update with one less prompt (User Account Control)
  • Page Source now has line numbers
  • Line breaks are now supported in the title attribute
  • Improvements to "Find in Page" to center search result
  • URLs pasted into the download manager window are now automatically downloaded
  • Support for the text-align-last CSS property has been added
  • Various security fixes
  • Some TinyMCE-based editors failed to load (739141)
  • OS X: WebGL performance may be degraded on some hardware (713305)

Some users may have noticed that the latest version of Waterfox has put them on the beta channel. There is no need for alarm, as this is a mistake on my part for leaving the channel to Beta on the config script instead of Release. You will still get updates and this does not affect functionality at all.

How to enable automatic updates?

If you aren't getting notifications for automatic updates then do the follow steps:

  1. Enter about:config in the address bar
  2. Search for app.update.url.override (if it does not exist, Right Click > New > String)
  3. Modify its value to http://waterfoxproject.org/update/%CHANNEL%/%VERSION%/update.xml

  • With Sync enabled, add-ons can now be synchronized across your computers
  • The CSS text-size-adjust property is now supported

Waterfox 10.0.1 has been released. It contains critical security updates and it is highly recommended that you update Waterfox as soon as possible!
